From Chicago to the island of Skopelos, Hannah and Caleb travelled all the way to Greece to exchange their vows in one of the island’s most iconic settings — the small chapel of Agios Ioannis.
Perched high above the Aegean Sea, the chapel is famously known as one of the locations featured in Mamma Mia!. But for Hannah, the connection went much deeper than the beauty of the place.
Mamma Mia! had always been her favourite film, and she had dreamed of one day standing in this very place. So when it came to choosing where she and Caleb would exchange their vows, Agios Ioannis felt like the only choice.
There was something beautifully personal about the decision. They travelled across the world not simply to have a wedding in Greece, but to create a moment in a place that already meant something to Hannah.
Surrounded by the landscape of Skopelos and the endless Aegean blue, they exchanged their vows and promised a lifetime together — in a setting that felt almost unreal, yet completely theirs.
The day itself was everything we love about an intimate destination elopement: effortless, romantic and deeply personal.
There was no need to overcomplicate the experience. The island, the chapel, the sea and the two of them created everything the story needed. We simply wanted to be there to document it as it unfolded — the quiet moments, the emotion, the movement and all the little things in between.
The result is a collection of photographs that feels much like the day itself: natural, intimate and timeless.
Some wedding days are about the scale of the celebration. Others are about the meaning of a single place, a single moment, or a dream finally becoming real.
For Hannah and Caleb, Skopelos was that place.
A journey from Chicago to Greece, a chapel above the Aegean, and a promise of forever — in a setting Hannah had loved long before she ever imagined standing there herself.
Some places become part of your story long before you arrive.
